Chernobyl: 27 years later.

Yesterday was the 27th anniversary of the terrible nuclear accident that devastated the lives of the people of Ukraine and beyond. It was the 26th of April, 1986. Still to this day people live in fear of what happened.

Many are the areas that remain contaminated, and too many are the children who live there. For this reason, Legambiente has launched a european petition to ask the international community for concrete actions to help the children who are still living in the contaminated areas, asking also for independent monitoring of radioactivity in the surrounding environment.

The people there have very low prospects of life. Why are people, after disasters that disrupt the world, forgotten by the rest?
