Military ousts Egyptian President Morsy

Double pick of the day today for an imminent breaking news that the whole world was waiting for. First democratically-elected Egyptian President Morsy has been overthrown by the military in an unprecedented coup.

Morsy has been replaced by Adly Mansour , head of the country’s Supreme Constitutional Court; new parliamentary elections will be held soon and temporary the constitution has been suspended.

Egypt is still broke into supporters who condemn the coup and opponents who celebrate with fireworks in Tahrir Square.

Mansour has the goal to establish a different and stronger government in his interim period and to meet those objectives that were failed by Morsy.

“Morsy did not achieve the goals of the people” and failed to meet the generals’ demands that he share power with his opposition. (Mansour – CNN)
