Nairobi International Airport partly destroyed by massive blaze

Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International airport is the largest transport hub in East Africa and victim of a huge blaze today (5.00 am local time) that destroyed the arrivals and immigration sections and cancelled dozens of flights.

Officials said the airport reopened later this evening for domestic and cargo flights, however, international air traffic will be certainly slowed and moved to other neighbouring airports, although smaller.
